WHO ARE WE? HOW THE PROJECT DEVELOPED
 As a group of friends from
Senigallia (in Italy) on holiday in Salvador and Bahia
we met some lay missionaries, people who had made the choice to
dedicate themselves entirely to childhood
poverty and exclusion. We came into contact with deprived children
who needed our help in Canavierias (Southern Bahia) and we felt that
it was here - 9,000 km from Italy - that something had to be done.
It wasn’t a question of making a small material contribution, but
rather one of changing the course of their lives and of our own .
The
pastoral
 From this point, the idea
to start a project to build a nursery for young children was born,
to secure their wellbeing and, if possible, to make this project
grow. So our Association began and so did the sister Association
in Brazil, the one capable of supporting and managing the project on
the ground.
Hundreds of friends have joined us on our journey and together
we have quickly built an unbelievable chain of solidarity 9,000
km long.
