THE EDUCATIONAL
PROJECT
We have
directed our attention to the group which seemed to us the most in
need of help, children of a pre school age, from 2 to 7 years
old.
Our project has enabled us to build a nursery school for 50
children, while working in close collaboration with their families
and the local community.
The services we offer include carrying out
health care, nutrition, education and social
projects.
Our aims are to:
a) guarantee an improvement in quality of life throughout
childhood
b) develop learning-teaching strategies
c) facilitate an entry route into employment for parents
The children who attend the nursery are from the local
community, children with unemployed parents or children whose
families are in
difficulty of some kind.

The
ground before nursery building
The nursery is open between 7:30 am and 5pm and its main concerns
are the health, nutrition and wellbeing of the children, while also
promoting educational activities for different age-groups.
The nursery building is also
used to educate and support the children’s families in collaboration
with social services, health workers and voluntary workers. Social
support is fundamental to the recovery of personal dignity and it is
particularly important to begin this process in childhood.
